Summer Fun

We recently returned from a camping trip with some friends in the ward to the UP and Petosky. In the UP we hiked to some big waterfalls. They were beautiful and Jonas got to ride in a nice backpack carrier for the whole 4 mile hike. He enjoyed that but James was worn out by the end of the hike from carrying that heavy boy. In Petosky we camped next to a great lake which was lots of fun to swim in. Jonas loved exploring and eating the sand for the first time. He didn't like getting his feet wet (the water was kind of cold), however he loved watching the waves and got really excited and happy whenever we arrived at the beach. He loves being outside so he really enjoyed the whole camping trip and apart from the first night he slept really well. James has been very busy at school and is forced to take all of his finals early next week before his rotation way far away in Bay Cliff the last week in July. Right after that we'll be headed home. We're both feeling a little homesick and can't wait to have everyone see Jonas. As soon as we get our other pictures onto our computer, I'll put the rest of our vacation pictures up here.
