frayckles and a party

Frayckles is how Jonas pronounces freckles. You can't really see it in this picture, but I was trying to get a shot of his new freckles. He is getting some across his nose and even though I've never really liked my own freckles, I just love the fact that he I can see his coming out. They look so cute on him, of course he doesn't have a gajillion of them like I do. Actually as I've gotten older I've made peace with my freckles because they are just a part of me. A big part of me. And I guess they're okay but they're just so cute on Jonas.

My beautiful rose bush. I want another one.

my new hair, I know it doesn't look that much different, but I did get some bangs.

Here Sav is trying to eat cereal with a spoon straight from the box. Not workin to well.

Here she is demonstrating her odd eating habits. She only likes to eat a select handful of items everyday. One of those things that she likes is broccoli. I was talking to James on the computer one day and some broccoli had been left on the table. I finished talking and found her like this. Covered in broccoli and ranch.

Here she is soaking wet, wearing Jonas' pj's and pretending to drive the tractor

The kids had a great time at a b-day party recently. There was a huge blow up waterslide. Jonas played in the water for hours. At the end of the party when almost all the other kids had left, he asked my friend Jasmine in his non direct way, "does everyone get a balloon?" So I brought the kiddos home with a balloon each and they were very happy campers.

Fun with bugs and a trip

My kids Love to watch bugs.... what kids don't? This is them having fun with a fuzzy caterpiller. They were both fascinated.

Savannah is holding a stick in this picture which she was using to poke the caterpiller. She was alternately poking, and squealing and laughing at him.

Lucky for them there can be a lot to look in right in our yard. We've had frogs, toads, a turtle, grasshoppers, huge spiders, baby kittens, lizards and...

Jonas came running into the house very excited the other night telling me that there was a snake in the yard so I followed him out and found this snake slithering through the grass. I soon discovered that it was a venemous copperhead! Yikes! I hope that's the last we see of him. Jonas wanted to go look for him after he slithered away. He was in barefeet so I let him know that wasn't a good idea. So he got on his tractor and drove it around looking for the snake, after a while he came back in the house and said "what was I looking for again mom?"

Thanks to my friend Amy who let me borrow her vehicle, we got to go to the SC temple with some of the young women in our ward. I am grateful for the chance we got to visit. The kids had fun climbing all over and enjoying the beautiful flowers. I loved being there too and feeling the peace and perspective that always comes when visiting the temple. I also liked driving a minivan complete with dvd player which made the 3 hr each way trip easier with 2 little ones in the back. I'm excited to be a minivan mom someday.

and now for random pics

Sav walking

Easter Fun and visitors

2 lovely sisters who take turns babysitting for me while I go to work stayed with me for a week. Soo nice to have company and assistance. They are so fun because they both have cheerful happy personalities. Miss C had to leave but miss L is staying here for a few weeks until her prom date. Their family is in the process of moving elsewhere so they needed places to stay for a while.

They were also here for Easter. We had an egg hunt in the front yard, then enjoyed listening to conference while the kids went crazy.

Savannah tried to share her candy for a while before actually eating it herself

Jonas immediately started piling his up

Here Sav is sporting a very cute eastery skirt my mom sewed for her.

More fun at the park

I know this poor girl is getting squished by her momma who just thinks she is so huggable.

4 Generations-Us with my Mom and Grammie out to lunch in Savannah when they were visiting.

Our weather is really warming up so we've been spending more time getting wet in the sprinkler, or rather I sit in the rocking chair and watch the kids get wet.

Finally-me crashed on the floor...sometimes I daydream about sleeping.

Break Time

WARNING: waaaaaay too many pictures on this post.

We've been busy. My Mom and Grammie came to see me, giving me a much needed break. I've been spoiled. I love how my mom takes care of so much and cooks and my Grammie loves interacting with the kids and is not above playing with playdough with them. I have loved having them here!

Another reason they came is to let me have some girl time with some very good friends who I absolutely love like sisters. We hung out in Savannah (aka) party town during the St. Patricks Day festivities. This is a picture of us getting quite literally blown away on the top of the Tybee lighthouse. We also got to see beautiful and picturesque homes, tons of drunken party goers as well as green water coming out of the fountain and old men walking around looking like leprachauns.

Also...it's official! I am now a soccer mom and loving it. This are some pics I quickly snagged as we were trying to be on time to Jonas' first soccer practice.
